Tempus Tommy

A Dane living in The Netherlands

Tuesday, July 29, 2003

It's nice to be home in my apartment in Denmark. After half a year away, I suspected some things would have change, but nope....nothing...nada...niente...niets...only the fourth hand video store a few corners away has been replaced by a women's clothing store...which I'm not gonna use much either.
I'm not sure if I'm disappointed about the lack of change or I'm thrilled about the stability....maybe I just really don't care that much.
News from Denmark wan't something that was a top priority when I was i Leeuwarden, and I have asked several people what has happened. It seems the biggest news has been a pizzabaker who boycotted german and french people in his pizza-shop because their governments didn't support the US and UN in the Iraq war.
To me that is just as lame as blaming todays german population for World War II.
And I'm not even talking about politics here....(insert the sound of me shaking my head).

I'm not sure I mentioned the reason for my change in the way I note my links.
I have one too many times found an online text, where I needed a print instead of just linking for later...and everytime I'm sitting some time later with f.ex. an article where the links are impossible to find, since they're hidden in the function of the hypertext itself - and of course the text is nowhere to be found again! ARGH!
So now I decided to write all links out, so if you want a print of something, you don't have to worry about the links :)
This goes against all that has been praisedas the innovative and "cool" about hypertextualisation, but I think this works better for me now anyway!
At least for now!
