"Gesture" by Adam Kendon
I got my hands on this book by this author. This will become my evening reading in the future, and it looks VERY existing (and is also in my primarily area of interest)

----

BBC has put a series of "finger" programmes online. Five short programmes - each dedicated to a finger. Very interesting introduction to finger gesture and meaning.
In the thumb programme you can furthermore hear A. Kendon elaborate on the misconception of "thumbs up" in the movie Gladiator.
